"We ought not treat living creatures like shoes, which when worn with use we throw away."- Plutarch
Welcome to One Weird Shoe!
If you find a One Weird Shoe and have your camera phone handy, take a pic and send it to matt@oneweirdshoe.com! You can also text me the location if it is within 10 miles of the Los Angeles area @ 310-562-7581. Happy Weirding!
Little Jellies sure do love roast beef sandwiches.... and Sun Chips! I like to think that this belonged once to a "little person" before it wound up just outside my house on Ventura Blvd.
About two months ago, there was another weird shoe in this same intersection. After braving rush hour traffic and checking this sneaker out, I learned it was not the same one and therefore safe to add!
I saw a boot on the side of the freeway and exited to find see if I could find it from the access road. Unfortunately I couldn't, but in the process did find this sad lone sole and he was nice enough to let me take a picture.
I figured that given the fact that I was on a road trip, I would find One Weird Shoe, but One Weird Flipper really made me a happy guy. One Weird Shoe: Point Lobos, Carmel, CA.
This weird shoe was just hanging out in the middle of the street in Kansas City. Thank you Tiff from Kansas for submitting!!!!
The upside of your car in the shop is that you can really take the time to admire and ponder roadside shoes. I saw this lone soldier on Ventura and Tujunga on my way to work and really felt like I had a moment to interact, though I didn't figure out how he got there.
